reversible one-of-a-kind bolero jacket
a one-of-a-kind, reversible, sustainable scrappy bolero features a composite collection of mostly darling dearie dress fabrics, with a few favorite fabrics from her stash from long, long ago. (the “how to keep your husband happy fabric” was from her wedding rehearsal dinner dress.)
bolero reverse is a brown/white seersucker leftover from a pair of flag pants.
entirely hand-quilted in a kantha stitch. liberty of london bias tape in pinks and reds encloses the bolero outside edges and some iridescent randomly sewn sequins and iridescent fabric scraps were added for good measure, glitz and sparkle! finished bound buttonholes allow for the option of the jacket front being securely closed from either side using the liberty of london of narrow fabric tie.
fabrics include 100% cotton, and cotton/polyester mix. nylon lace trim, 100% polyester accent fabric, and plastic sequin embellishment.
